And of course our Green Parrot Mascots!
Rescued by a local woman, Jupiter and Stupiter arrived at the Green Parrot June 1996. No flight feathers, some pin feathers and BIG appetites! Each day now begins with Jupiter and Stupiter sharing a muffin, followed by a daily buffet of seeds and vegetables. They love habanera peppers and pistachio nuts.
No day is complete without some squawking, a little singing and talking and a lot of laughter - these Amazon yellow heads are living the good life at Green Parrot! There is great variety of wildlife in Belize. Sit on the dock and watch the pelicans go by. Watch a frigate bird take food out of the mouths of other birds. All a normal day at the Green Parrot.
We are sorry to report to all the friends of Jupiter that he died Sunday morning May 12, 2002. We buried him next to the cage by Stupiter.
Polly is our new wild Parrot - watch her chase Spike the dog - or stop in the restaurant for a chat! Back off - this is my toy says Stupiter!
